RETURNING TRAFFIC PLEAS AND/OR MAKING PAYMENTS OUTSIDE OF COURT OFFICE HOURS
There is a locked drop box labelled “Court Documents Only” located to the left of the double doors on the parking lot side of the building. You may leave traffic pleas or payments labelled with the date of birth inside the locked drop box.

CRIMINAL MATTERS
All matters other than traffic infractions are handled on the criminal calendar. Personal appearances are required for all criminal matters and appearing with an attorney licensed to practice in New York State is advised. If you have an upcoming criminal matter and require the services of the Greene County Public Defender, you may contact them at 518-719-3220 or access their webpage at the following link:
If you received an appearance ticket and are unsure of when you should appear, call the court office to speak with a court clerk. If you need to update your contact information such as address or telephone number for notification purposes, call the court office and speak with a court clerk. Requests for adjournments will not be granted unless good cause is shown and will be reviewed on an individual basis, at the discretion of the Town Justice. Adjournments for criminal matters will not be granted due to transportation or work obligations except on a limited basis. If you have an attorney, you must communicate through them and not directly with court staff.
