There will be a Cairo Town Board Meeting on February 21, 2024 at 7pm in the Town Hall Meeting Room

Due to a Water Main Break in the area of the properties east of Bridge Street, consumers may experience low water pressure and some brown water for the period of time of 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

The Town of Cairo, in Greene County, NY is soliciting proposals from Contractors to furnish and install water supply pumps and piping to replace the existing pumps at the Town’s Well located in the Angelo Canna Town Park. Scope of Work can be provided by the Town Clerks office. The Time for the Commissioner Meeting for Monday, February 26, 2024, of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Cairo Fire District has been changed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cairo Fire House, Railroad Avenue, Cairo, NY.

The Cairo Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024 for the Federal Holiday (President’s Day).

Per the New York State & Local Retirement System, the attached Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution for Elected and Appointed Officials was approved at the February 5, 2024 Board Meeting and must be posted to the public on our web site for 30 days.
